The T3-9670 is a minimalist 70cm data radio and 9600 baud TNC based on the Tracker3. It connects to a PC via USB and can operate as a basic KISS TNC or stand-alone digipeater.
The transceiver covers the entire amateur 70cm band and is frequency-agile. Maximum transmit power is 1 watt, though when running from a standard USB port its limit is closer to 750 mW.
Important note: Development of the T3-9670 has hit an unexpected snag and at present it is unable to reliably decode packets from other brands of 9600 baud TNC. It is possible that the problem will never be resolved satisfactorily with this transceiver chip, but testing continues. In the meantime, pre-order customers have the option to receive the unit as-is, to be upgraded if and when the receive problem is resolved. The T3-9670's own packets are decoded by other T3-9670s and by all other 9600 baud TNCs we've tested - only reception from other brands is affected.
Note that the T3-9670 is not capable of 1200 baud AFSK operation, and has no GPS data input. Another model will be available with a GPS receiver and rechargeable battery for mobile tracker use.
Requires an SMA antenna (not included).
