Tracker2 Product Home
This FC-301/D 5-watt transceiver includes an integrated Tracker2 TNC board. Like any Tracker2, it can be used as an APRS tracker, digipeater, KISS TNC, and weather station. It can also be connected directly to a Garmin navigation system with Fleet Management Interface support.
The FC-301/D programming cable is not required (and is not compatible with this combination.) Pinouts are as follows:
| 1 | Port B in |
| 2 | Port A out |
| 3 | +5V out |
| 4 | GND |
| 5 | Power in (9-15V) |
| 6 | IRQ/Counter in |
| 7 | 1-wire bus |
| 8 | Port A in |
| 9 | Port B out |
The yellow and black cable listed below will adapt the T2-301 to the same pinouts as the OT2m.
Ports A and B are RS-232. The command console and configuration program can be used only with port A.
To set the radio frequency, use the command SETFREQ ttt.ttt rrr.rrr, where 't' is the transmit frequency and 'r' is the receive frequency, e.g., SETFREQ 144.990 144.390. The unit is pre-set to 144.39 MHz. Receive coverage is 127 to 186 MHz.
Set power output using SETPOWER pp, where 'p' is the power level from 0 to 99. 0 corresponds to an output level of < 1 mW, and 99 is greater than 9 watts with a supply voltage of 15v. The scale is non-linear and varies with the supply voltage.
The radio is available in both amateur (FCC Part 97) and commercial (FCC Part 90 certified) versions. If you require the commercial version, please state this in the order comments.
